Texas Supreme Court proposes ‘loser pays’ rules

The Texas Supreme Court has proposed new rules implementing “loser pays” laws passed by the state legislature last year.
The proposed rule changes set forth guidelines for the dismissal of “baseless” causes of action and the expedited disposition of cases seeking $100,000 or less.
